You can count on Evonik when it comes to protecting your personal data. Protecting your privacy when handling your data is a matter of the utmost importance to Evonik Operations GmbH and Evonik Brazil Ltda., and is taken into consideration in all our business processes.
We therefore feel it is important to explain to users which guidelines we adopt for the processing of their personal data, which are set out below.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE READING THIS NOTICE?
Personal data is all the information that allows your identification. For example, your name, CPF, e-mail, profession, among others.
The data steward is the person on our team responsible for taking care of your privacy here at Evonik. If you have any questions about how your data is handled by us, they will help you.
Processing of personal data means any operation, such as collection, production, receipt, classification, use, access, reproduction, transmission, distribution, processing, filing, storage, deletion, evaluation or control of information, modification, communication, transfer, dissemination or extraction, performed with personal data.
Whenever the terms "Evonik", "we" or "our" are mentioned, we are referring to Evonik Operations GmbH and Evonik Brazil Ltda. and, likewise, whenever the terms "you", "your" or "yours" are mentioned, we are referring to You.
WHAT PERSONAL DATA DO WE HANDLE?
Data required for the business relationship
In order to initiate and maintain a business relationship, we need to handle a lot of your personal data.
This data can be informed to us directly by you, by third parties, or even collected automatically (for example, cookies).
Essentially, in order for you to purchase our products or solutions, we handle the following data:
Registration data: full name, CPF, RG/RNE, address, date of birth, gender, personal e-mail, and personal telephone;
Professional data: profession, position, company where you work, corporate e-mail, and work phone;
Consumption data: consumption profile.
Technical data for access to our website
When you access our website, some personal data about you is collected automatically. This access data includes, for example, the name of your internet service provider, the IP address, information about the browser and operating system used, the domain name of the website acting as a platform for a visit to our own website, the average duration of a visit and the pages accessed on our website.
This data is sent to our web server whenever individual Internet pages are accessed by your Internet browser. The temporary storage of data by the system, including the IP address, is necessary to enable our website to be made available on the user's computer. For this purpose, the user's IP address and other data must remain saved for the duration of the session.
Cookies
We also add cookies to some areas of our website. A cookie is a small file added to your device or computer to provide you with a personalized access experience. Cookies help analyze Internet traffic and let us know when you have visited a specific site. We emphasize that a cookie does not give access to your computer or reveal information other than that which you choose to share with us.
We use cookies, for example, to count how many visitors we receive to our website, to enable you to navigate smoothly and quickly, and to remember your language preferences.

The use of social plugins
Our website does not use any social media plugins. When integrating the icons of social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn, we only refer to these networks by means of an external link. In some cases the link directs you to a sharing function of the network in question. This means that you can share our website with other users directly on the page of the social network to which the share button belongs.
Contact Form
On our website there is a form that you can use when you want us to contact you. When you enter your data, it is transmitted to us and saved. In this context, we do not pass on the data to third parties, but only use them to contact you.
HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
We process your personal data in order to make our commercial relationship possible. We collect your data so that we can carry out the entire sales process of our solutions and products, for which we register you and/or the company you represent or are a partner in our systems, draw up contracts, and issue invoices.
In addition, in order to keep you updated on our solutions and to offer you the best available on the market, we use your registration data to invite you to symposiums and workshops that we organize, as well as to send you promotional materials about our products.
Finally, your personal data may be used to comply with obligations established by law, regulations of government agencies, tax authorities, the Judiciary and/or any other competent authority. This treatment may include your identification data and personal documents, for example, when sending mandatory communications to the Internal Revenue Service.
In case our contract ends, we will keep stored some of your personal data necessary for the fulfillment of legal obligations and to protect our rights.
WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
We share your personal data with companies in the same economic group as Evonik, such as Evonik Indrutries AG (our German parent company), advertising and marketing consultancies, public and credit protection agencies and with business partners.
To safeguard your privacy, we use contractual tools and audits to ensure that third parties who receive your personal data on our behalf afford it the same protection as we do.
It is possible that your personal data may be transferred outside Brazil to countries where other companies in the Evonik group are located, such as: Germany, the United States, Peru, Chile, South Africa, Spain, Kuala Lampur, Singapore, Costa Rica, Argentina, China and Mexico.
In these cases, we will make sure that such transfer will only occur to countries that have a similar degree of data protection as provided by Brazilian law, or, when authorized by the National Authority for Personal Data Protection.
WHAT ARE YOUR RIGHTS?
You, as a data subject and as our customer, have the following rights concerning your personal information:
1. To know if we perform any processing with your personal data and which ones;
2. Correct or request correction of incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated data;
3. Request anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary and excessive data;
4. Request data portability to another provider of similar products or services;
5. Request the deletion of data collected and used based on your consent;
6. Obtain information about the public or private entities with which we share your data;
7. When the processing activity requires your consent, you may refuse to consent. In that case, we will inform you of the consequences of not performing such activity;
8. When the processing activity requires your consent, you may revoke it at any time.

HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR DATA SECURE?
We have adopted strict policies and procedures that determine how personal data is to be handled here at Evonik. These standards are intended to ensure the proper and lawful handling of personal data.
We also adopt technical measures to keep your personal data safe and protected from unauthorized access and accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, communication or any other form of inappropriate or unlawful treatment, always in the light of the applicable data protection and information security rules.
Our security measures are continuously monitored and revised in accordance with the latest technological advances and organizational resources.
